Awesome combo from Mike Mahler. 2 Movements very close to my heart. Sledgehammer slamming and double kettlebell snatches.
Also, love the idea with the half tyre, great for rebounding the hammer for more explosive striking
Incredible lifting from Pavlos Georgiardis.
You don't need to be big to lift big! (This guy is like a rake)
Yet Another 60kg Kettlebell BUP Video
After much hard graft yesterday in Sunny Scarborough, consisting of shovelling, carrying bags, carrying flags, carrying flags again, carrying rolls of turf and then lugging even more bags on top of using my 60kg Kettlebell to pound the garden (total of about 300 partial bent rows) I decided to get chalked up and have a crack at the 60 kg BUP without any BUP'ing for a while (Nearly 10 months).

90kg Kettlebell Clean
I went right through my whole range of kettlebells tonight doing cleans on both left and right hands. Got to the 80kg and felt good so stuck a 10 kg disc to the bottom.
90kg Kettlebell Clean
This lead the way for some assisted 78kg Inch dumbbell lifts (minor assist with 1 finger) and into negative unassisted second half of lifts (i.e return to mat)which went very nicely. The Inch is still on my list for stuff to do this year and hopefully with some hard work not too far away.
Also, one hand pinch (for comp on saturday), grippers, stub lifting and also hub lifts.
Very enjoyable training session and good to be attempting some bigger lifts.

Hand strength (or call it grip strength or lower arm strength if you wish) is essential for lifting big weights in the gym.
If your hands are strong you'll hang onto that big deadlift or that person you want to catch on the Rugby field, climb up that rope or beat someone at 'Peanuts' or most importantly keep hold of your wife who just slipped off the roof of your house!!
Either way having strong hands is better than having 'piss poor' hand strength
There are many ways of developing grip strength, one of mine is through using kettlebells. I soon realised that kettlebell training is great for hand strength and is often achieved without directly intending to do so.
However, sometimes it's necessary to work on different elements of hand strength specifically, so I put together a video to show you some of the drills I do.
It's by no means definitive, so I have put together a page along with some links to other videos of stuff that isn't on my video.
If you have any more ideas and/or videos of kettlebell drills that assist hand strength I'd be happy to add them to the page (just drop me a comment)
