Happy New Year
All the best to everyone and anyone who has ever been here.
Today is our wedding anniversary (5 years/wood) so gonna be chilling out tonight with some beers, Mexican food and TV.
2009 has been one of the busiest years of my life, with shed loads of stuff going on..... new baby....move house, work and lastly training.
I've hit a few goals too this year by entering my first ever Strongman comp and getting my hands on an 80kg kettlebell (2010 will see me snatch this monster). Athletics for me this year has been a no go almost copletely due to other commitments but 2010 should see me in more action, better shape and stronger.
One thing I'l be kicking out the door tonight is procrastination and mindless shit on this blog.
Also on the agenda is LCCJ with the 32kg kettlebells and a 65 second a 400m run to rediscover some athletic ability
I hope 2010 will be a great year for you

I look forward to reading your blog in 2010, Rob.
I've really enjoyed what you've done in 2009 - in particular the videos of some big weights being moved... keeps me from getting complacent!
Haven't posted a comment on this site for a while i think Im due.
First off, congratulations on 5 years marriage!
Second, I thought I'd give you an update on my training.
To be honest I haven't been able to train as much as properly due to upcoming exams and other commitments.
I'm doing my warm-ups with the 16kg; going through each exercise and doing 15reps of each. Then i hit the 24kg for a proper workout and then throw the 32kg in after a set.
Got any tips for increasing my forearm and leg power using the kettlebells?
Looking forward to the adders comp rob ,its gonna be a cracker , dont be mad , but im now the official video-grapher (boar vision) hopefully felix will pull 410kg, so get training !
Cheers Chris, I'm looking forward to hitting some better tings this year, the road is looking pretty clear at the moment so hopefully......
Nice one Boar mate, looking forward to the comp. Training is starting to come together now. Will be great to see someone pull 410. What other big names are doing the comp, apart from me? :) hahahahaha!
Thanks for dropping by mate, good to know you're still training! As for forearm and leg power. I would swing 2 kettlebells in one hand together or go for long sets of snatch both are great for the forearm along with kettlebell reverse curl if you can handle 16kg. As for leg power sitting low in a kettlebell swing is great as is front squat or kb lunges
Cheers Rob
Happy New Year, Rob, and congrats on the anniversary!
Your blog's been great this last year, and your goals this year look outstanding.
Cheers, and keep up the good work. Here's to a great 2010 for you and yours!
